Power Windows
WARNING
Leaving children in a vehicle with the RKE transmitter is dangerous for many
reasons; children or others could be badly injured or even killed. They could
operate the power windows or other controls or even make the vehicle move. The
windows will function with the RKE transmitter in the vehicle and they could be
seriously injured or killed if caught in the path of a closing window.
Do not leave the RKE transmitter in a vehicle with children.
When there are children in the rear seat, use the window lockout switch to
prevent unintentional operation of the windows.
The power windows:
- Can be operated with the ignition in ACC/ACCESSORY or ON/RUN/START.
- Can be operated within 10 minutes of switching the ignition off. See Retained Accessory Power (RAP).
- Will stop operation when any door is opened.
Pushing or pulling the switch part of the way will open or close the window as long as the switch is operated.
